Missions Council

Mission Statement

  • The Tabernacle Baptist Church Missions Council assists our Church to carry out the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19,20) through local activity and through the work of our Missionary Families worldwide. The council is the liaison between our Church and our worldwide Missionary families.

  • In cooperation with our Church leaders and Church Family, the Council recommends financial and other support for the Missionary Families, and manages the missions budget to provide regular financial support to our Missionary Families.

  • The Council maintains regular communications with our Missionary Families so that the Church is kept up-to-date with their needs and activities; The Council prays for their work and their needs; The Council communicates Missionary Family needs to the Church. The Council arranges for periodic visits of our Missionaries to our Church.

  • The Council aids, encourages, and stimulates direct membership involvement in missions including prayer, hospitality, gifts, and personal communications. The Council also aids in sending members to the field for short term missions, organizes Church efforts to address specific short-term needs, and cooperates in our Church programs aimed at the evangelization of our local area.
